Manirathnam Sir, Rahman sir And P.C. Sreeram sir are geniuses. Especially Mani Sir's portrayal of women as strong personalities (and his movies always depict societal truth) are noteworthy anytime. Starting from Thalapathi, Roja.. Sakhi.. every unique role leaves a mark on the viewers.. And... and... each of these movies depict the leading lady at least in one song in this shade of blue. Very unique, very Mani Sir ish. This saree is one such memory..
Beyond tinsel world there are two designers I respect for who they are. Mr. Sabyasachi Mukherjee for weaving dreams in fabric and christening memories of million indian women. And the other is Mr. Ayush Kejriwal. #ayushkejriwal Ayush's posts are exactly my reflection of self. Beyond societal bindings, Beyond negativity, Beyond struggle to emerge as Shakthi. Every time I read his posts, the more I dream that for once I should be muse in one of those wonderful stories, draped in those magical woven stories of patola.
Women alone need not fight for women empowerment (we are already empowered). It is men's responsibility too and in a way many men like those mentioned above and including from our own families help us get there. This is for all those 'strong men'. World needs more of you.
